Has your son and entire family enjoyed being on the Scouting journey?

Have you seen the life skills that your son has learned which are forging his character during his formative years? The 12 points of the scout law are the principles that guide scouts in their daily life. The Scout Law was inspired by the Bushido code of Japanese Samurai, the laws of honor of American Indians, and the code of chivalry of European knights.

The scout law is embedded in our ethos and will carry on for a life time....These words are recited at every Troop 194 meeting
  • TrustworthyTell the truth and keep promises
  • LoyalShow care for family, friends, and community
  • HelpfulVolunteer to help others without expecting anything in return
  • FriendlyBe a friend to everyone
  • CourteousBe polite and use good manners
  • KindTreat others as you want to be treated
  • ObedientFollow rules and laws
  • CheerfulLook for the bright side of life
  • ThriftyBe careful with money, time, and resources

Parents Get involved with your son's Scouting experience and help them grow as a leader by becoming a Troop 194 volunteer.  Use your Professional skills leveraging your expertise in areas like finance, marketing, or project management to support the Scouting program in a meaningful way. Retired individuals can share life experience and wisdom with young people by becoming a mentor and role model in Scouting...!!!

Your adult leadership will have Meaningful impact and leave a legacy foot print, with the positive influence you have on young lives by teaching valuable skills and fostering character development.  Troop 194 has opportunities in Diverse roles, from teaching specific skills like first aid or cooking to leading outdoor activities or supporting administrative tasks, allowing individuals to contribute based on their interests and expertise. The Scouting American program will expand your Personal growth as an adult leader with development leadership skills, learn new things, and building confidence through training and hands-on experience. The Community building and sense of connection &/or belonging that comes from working with other dedicated volunteers within our local Scouting community. The Flexibility that we have affords the volunteer to engage as much as possible based on your availability, whether it's a few hours per week or occasional support for special events.
