Personal Management Merit

Posted by chbachman on Jan 31 2026 - 10:15am

Who needs Personal Management Merit Badge?   This is an Eagle Required Merit Badge that requires 13-weeks of tracking a Scout's income and expenses.  Scouts will present schedules and learn to prioritize their time.  Scouts will learn about terms like stock, mutual funds, credit, risk, capital, tax implications, ROI, and so much more.

Personal Management is a merit badge best suited to Scouts (age 14 or older) who can show that they have an income from jobs or allowance or other sources.  Please note, younger Scouts may not get as much from this experience.  If you have questions about the criteria, please reach out to Dr. Tony Giamis at amgiamis@gmail.com.

Possibly the most important Merit Badge that a Scout can take.  Sign-up to be on the course mailing list.
